Softrax® Wet Pour Rubber

 
"SOFTRAX®" Softfall® is a seamless surfacing system consisting of a unique single component moisture cured polyurethane binder combined with black SBR rubber shred or granule to form a highly shock absorbing cushion or base layer. The thickness of the Softfall® base is dependant on the safety fall height requirement. A coloured Softrax® wet pour rubber wear layer, usually 10-15mm in thickness is then installed over the Softfall® base. Colourful designs and shapes may be incorporated into this process. The top layer comes in tseveral types, however, the three that we recommend are EPDM, precoloured styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and oxide tinted black shred or granule.
 

Major advantages

It is a cast-in-situ process which enables the surface to be easily installed around existing play equipment and on awkward shaped areas. The thickness of the surface can easily be varied over a playground to accommodate the different requirements of various pieces of play equipment.
 
A wear layer can be installed directly over an existing concrete or asphalt area, normally with little or no prior treatment to the existing surface. As the system is installed by a "wet pour" process the finished surface effectively becomes one large mat covering the entire playground area without any problem joints.
 
Can be installed to any required depth, therefore purchasers can design the playground surfacing so individual areas will meet the drop height requirements for surfacing under specific items of play equipment.
 
The surface can be 'moulded' around posts, mounds, into garden beds, concrete and timber edges
